About Urbanik LLC

I created Urbanik LLC in 2024, in order to represent existing clients as well as new clients with their important legal needs. The formation of my Austin, Texas based law firm is an extension of my practice at prior law firms where I assisted clients in a wide range of legal matters throughout the United States, primarily focusing on bankruptcy and restructuring engagements.

I have been employed in many different types of representations. For example: representing clients in connection with the acquisition of assets in a bankruptcy case or recievership for purposes of expanding their existing business, representing businesses in need of an out of court workout, restructuring or a bankruptcy filing, representing fiduciaries such as receivers and trustees, representing parties with claims in bankruptcy cases or who may face being a defendant in a preference case or another type of claim brought in a bankruptcy case, the representation of  entities which are  parties to an ongoing contract, a lease agreement or a license agreement where the counter party has filed for bankruptcy, as well as numerous other situations. Outside the scope of bankruptcy, for many years I represented a successful national franchise restaurant corporation in a variety of matters - essentially acting as outside general counsel.

I have represented parties in larger cases throughout the United States including representing Committees of Unsecured Creditors, insurance companies, parties in mass tort cases, financial institutions, entities in the energy industry, the real estate industry, technology, the food and hospitality industry and other business sectors.

My practice has included a wide variety of representations. I have been a New York State licensed attorney since 2002, and I am therefore able to represent clients in any matter pending in New York without the need to engage local counsel.

As noted below, a recent significant engagement was the representation of the Attorney General's Office of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in a large and complex Chapter 11 Bankruptcy case, Steward Health Care Corporation in Houston, Texas.

I have been fortunate in my practice to have made long-lasting business relationships and friendships. I am continuing those efforts at my newly created firm.

My goal is to continue to provide clients with focused and high-quality legal services in order that they achieve a successful result.
